watchcast is a small, independent, member-supported documentary service. Every morning we publish one ranked selection of micro-documentaries — watched, argued over, and ordered by a real editorial team in Larnaca.

The premise

The web does not have a documentary shortage. It has a finding problem. There is more good nonfiction short work made in a single week than any one person can watch, and the feeds that promise to surface it instead bury it under autoplay and outrage. So we do the opposite: we watch the new field each morning and hand you a single ranked list, with a short written note on why each film sits where it does.

What members get

The full ranked selection of 30 micro-documentaries, refreshed every day at local midnight.
A written rationale for each pick — you can read why it ranks where it does, and disagree.
Access to the 1,860-film archive, drawn from 41 countries and counting.
Web streaming on any modern browser, on desktop, tablet, or phone.

What we avoid

No infinite scroll, no autoplay, no engagement algorithm.
No fake ratings, fake viewer counts, fake awards, or invented press.
No native app, smart-TV app, offline downloads, or 4K claims we haven’t built.
No dark patterns around billing — the trial, renewal price, and cancellation are stated up front.

Checkout status

Checkout opens after subscription setup is connected. Until our payment provider is fully connected, the Subscribe button shows a clear setup notice rather than taking a payment. We will not charge a card we cannot yet process.
